Squirrel Chest

What would you do with a tax cheque refund  and a loan from your uncle...... Publish a comic book aimed at making fun of current comic book characters ofcourse. This is exactly what happened when Eastman and Laird wrote a story starring 4 turtles in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)

 

The TMNT was first written in 1984 as a bit of a gag.... it took nearly 5 years for it to be the juggernaught of what we see today. Interestingly the creators of TMNT pushed for a toy company to make its figures. It heard Playmates was looking for a toy line to enter the market and the rest as they say is now history!!

 

TMNT is one of the most successful comic book lines to work well in all areas of entertainment, from toys to cartoons to movies even video games. The fluid cross over slapstick humour and serious moments is what has made this line the success it is. 

 

Over the past 10 years it has been reborn and recreated to give each new generation of kids a chance to see the glory of the TMNT!!!
